On the good news side, the Sacramento Business Journal published an article titled Tech, energy funding show signs of life in local economy on Wednesday, June 18th describing investments in “local technology and energy companies.” The article by Mark Anderson describes how Sacramento region-based “companies have raised or borrowed more than $315 million so far in the second quarter this year, a sure sign that the local economy is looking up.” On the other hand, I received an email from one of our local AgTech luminaries highlighting yet another agricultural-based investment that was made somewhere besides Davis. On one hand, three Davis companies were highlighted in a story in the Sacramento Business Journal.
Offer general IT support for Windows, Macs, Linux.This week was an interesting dichotomy of news.Work with our customers in various ways to make sure they are ultimately successful!.Proactive support, monitor the health of our network of devices and work with customers to make sure their unit is operational.Able to periodically take calls off hours and during weekends.Provide product and services training to new and existing customers. Build training material, create videos, write/maintain articles and documentation for our knowledge base.Customer satisfaction: how the customer ‘feels’ about the support provided to them.Resolution time: how long it took to resolve the issue.Initial response time: how quickly are we responding to customers.
Provide world-class 1st and 2ndlevel customer phone support for our product, services, network/internet connectivity, and general computing.Work closely with the manufacturing team to maintain a high level of quality and development improvements for our physical products.Remember that these are ‘self-service’ devices, often not in the reach of a technician, so quality is key. Control the process of testing, staging, deployment. Responsible for the quality of every release.
