Once you give out orders, the game sort of plays itself. You can assign waypoints and multiple orders, or even ask a unit to directly engage a specific unit. You have a central character, and you issue orders to your mechs to move around. Unfortunately, because it`s a japanese game, people say some strange things, including the main character shouting "Listen up!" whenever a skirmish between two mechs occurs.Ģ) the game is an SRPG, but you don`t technically directly manage everyone. The cutscenes are voiced in english (by native speakers no less), and the VA in missions is all in english. What intrigued me were a couple things:ġ) Voice acting is all in english. (this is what happens when you skip a tutorial conversation)ĭucky played a couple levels, and I watched on (simultaneously playing irritating mullet rock on my laptop). It seemed duckroll didn`t know much either, as we were both a little puzzled by the game itself when we started it up. I knew absolutely nothing about the game apart from whatever tidbits were posted on GAF. Last night, duckroll swung by my place with a copy of Armodyne: a game I hardly even knew existed, save for a single table top cardboard cut out in a local game store. Duckroll and gang have arrived in Osaka, and spent the day in den den town while I was at work.
